| We've never been big fans of 3D graphics. 3D interfaces tend to confuse the added third dimension with some sort of information structuring solution. Either that, or they're preoccupied with making things appear realistic. But, when Macromedia released version 8.5 of Director, with support for 3D graphics, we thought it might be time to reexamine 3D design and experiment a little. As part of this experimentation, we built an in-house system for structuring 3D interfaces, and for applying a variety of behaviors to objects. This allowed us to develop a set of code-based modules which could be visually organized and designed. The items shown above are some explorations of 3D and attempts to build the Triplecode website using this system. |
