| MOCA asked Triplecode to create their first-ever mini-site for an exhibition: Retrofuturism: The Car Designs of J Mays. Mays is the chief designer at Ford and his designs include the prototype for the New Beetle, the New Thunderbird, GT40, Avus, Fourth-Nine, Ma and 24.7. The exhibition is the first museum exhibition devoted to the work of an American car designer. The website works with the exhibition to demystify the car-design process and offer visitors a chance to explore the fascinating connections between different fields of design. It shows image pairs to explain Mays' design process of reinterpreting designs. The site also allows visitors to upload their own image pairs, and share their own personal examples of Retrofuturism. |
